At the end of our first week Gabby dropped her cell phone in
the Baltic Sea. She believes it’s a
miracle that it works well enough to text.
Here’s a throw back to the individual cereal boxes we used
to cut open and add milk to… The temporary
litter box...
The girls only asked twice if we were taking the car to the
grocery store and to visit their new school.
Now all Gabby asks is ‘how long will it take to walk there?’ Whatever I tell her she automatically doubles
it! It has to be a special occasion to
take the car because that requires opening the garage door and one or two gates
depending on the time of day.
It is nice to know that the girls and the dog are tired and
out of breathe walking up two flights of stairs too!
The first few days Sofia referred to our apartment as the
‘hotel’. She is also easily impressed…
with the ‘arm rests’ on the toilet at the Taco Bar and with the fancy bathrooms
at Mood Stockholm. The tour of the Royal
Palace was nothing like what she expected (not Barbie enough for her!) Clearly
we need to get the girl out more!
Lucy and Tallulah seem to be adjusting well and still love
us even though we sent them on a long journey.
On this end of the move I wonder what I was thinking packing
half the stuff we shipped!
Ikea count – 2 beds, 1 bookshelf, 2 lights, 1 table, 6
kitchen chairs, numerous small items (hangers, fasteners, etc.)
