Yes! A new iPhone S |
Gabby requested Gram's Christmas coffeecake for breakfast (she really knows how to ask for the highest maintenance thing to make!).
Who can say no when the birthday girl texts to say that lunch at school is disgusting, can I pick her up and take her to lunch? She really knows how to work it!

birthday lunch at Rice with Gabby and Annabel |
Dinner was ordering her favorite pizza from Il Conte a block away, followed by cupcakes made and decorated by the birthday girl herself.
Warning: iPhones can be detrimental to your health... while taking a slow motion video of herself, Gabby missed the sofa and fell against the edge of it, sustaining a rib injury which side-lined her the next day. A BIG thank you to my friend Heidi Shenk, a physical therapist, who made a house-call to the check out the injured 13 year +1 day old. Luckily, Gabby had not broken anything but had a muscle spasm in her ribs. Some gentle stretching and ibuprofen and she'd be fine for school the next day.
Saturday, February 8 - I wish I could say it's Swedish tradition to have a party three weeks after a birthday but it's just what worked out!

the calm before... |
Eight, 7th grade girls and Gabby ice skated at a very wet Vasaparken Saturday afternoon, then took the bus back to our house for fondue dinner.
