Lynda and Jer’s Excellent Adventure

Top 10 things we loved about our unannounced, spontaneous,
whirlwind trip to Stockholm for Gordon’s 50th

1. The looks of surprise on Gordon, Gabby, Audra and Sofia’s faces upon first seeing us.

2. Gabby repeating “I still don’t think this is real” for the first 24 hours of our visit.

3. Saturday night game night playing Heads Up. Said game led to many belly laughs by three little girls and four big grown ups over the course of the next three days/nights.

4. Over-sized ice cubes (see belly-laughs above). skål! (cheers!)

5. Watching the Castle Family show off their skating skills.

6. Three sister-wives, working side by side, to throw a 50th birthday party for one of the greatest guys on the planet.

7. Watching Nancy's new group of girlfriends see her in her element - throwing a party...and marveling at a bunch of people at the party in stocking feet.

8. Ending Gordon's birthday night by streaming the Super Bowl til the wee hours of the morning...and then sleeping in til noon the next day.

9. Eating cinnamon rolls the size of a catchers mitt with Gabby and her best friend, Annabel, at Cafe Saturnus.

10. Learning a new favorite word - Fika - defined by Gordon as "going out for coffee and a pastry"...defined by Nancy as "a low-pressure date or get-together with friends".

11. Seeing, with our own eyes, that the Castle family is thriving in their new world
